The harbour is a good shelter. Yacht can find a berth at the S breakwater or at private pontoons in the N side of the harbour. In calm weather it is possible to anchor to the E of the harbour too, in front of the beach on sandy bottom.All along the coast from Camerota to Sapri watchtowers are perched as strategic points. Five miles E of the harbour of Marina di Camerota, after Punta Iscoletti, there is a natural harbour (Infreschi bay), very spectacular, where it is possible to anchor in a really uncontaminated landscape. Other nice beaches and bays between Camerota and Scario.

Dangers: a sand-bank under the green light; with strong southerlies there is a swell that make entry more difficult. Bottom: sand, 1,5 – 4,5 m depth
