Cilento is an area that preserved an extraordinary uncontaminated nature, because of the difficult accessibility and practicability of its territory. Rocky massif hiding wonderful calm bays, with excellent clear water, slopes degrading to the sea, white sand beaches, a lot of caves, contribute to give to the territory a great variety of the environment, typical Mediterranean coast. This area has been inhabited from Palaeolithic Age, as witness from the rest of bones that is possible to see still today in some caves.
