A good harbour, sheltered with all winds, with exception of southerlies, which cause a surge inside.The harbour and the old village are very nice. Acciaroli is said to be one of Hemingway’s favourite places in Italy. Acciaroli has a nice landscape and seascape, providing a vista of ever-changing patterns and colours.It is possible to moor at the SW breakwater managed by the Town Council of Acciaroli or at private pontoon.

Dangers: care must be taken to the shoals “Secca Vecchia” and “Generale” in the southern approach; in entrance keep a course of due E before turning to port to enter; obviously going out don’t forget to keep a course of due W for 500 metres before turn southward (10 m bathymetric or more).
Bottom: sand and mud, 3,00-6,00 m depth
Strong side wind: S/E – S/W.
